  The Nottingham regional board of Crimestoppers will be bringing the charity's youth brand, ShadowCS, to the city's youngsters in a bid to deter them from the knife crime culture that has claimed so many lives across the country.

• Crimestoppers launches anonymous service in Scottish prisons

  For the first time, Scottish prisoners will be able to call the charity Crimestoppers with information about crime in complete anonymity. [23 September 2008]

• Successful sponsorship spurs the Security Industry Authority to extend its support to Crimestoppers

  In May 2008, the Security Industry Authority (SIA) sponsored the website of the charity Crimestoppers www.crimestoppers-uk.org for a three month period. So successful has the sponsorship been that we have decided to extend our support until 1 January 2009.
