Gloucestershire

Welcome to Gloucestershire Crimestoppers.

Gloucestershire Crimestoppers is dedicated to helping to solve crimes and taking criminals off the streets across the county, as far north as Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds, down to Tetbury in the south and Lydney in the Forest of Dean.

The county has a mix of rural and urban communities, which means the Crimestoppers anonymous phone number is used by people like you to solve a wide range of crimes, including drug dealing, car theft and drink driving, through to rural burglaries, wildlife crime and thefts of agricultural equipment.

We have more than 70 business and public sector supporters who support us financially and help to promote the anonymous 0800 555 111 phone number.

Our aim is to ensure that people living and working in Gloucestershire know the anonymous Crimestoppers phone number and how it can be used to help fight crime in your area. We run several high-profile and creative public awareness campaigns each year to raise awareness of the anonymous phone number.

Thanks to you, our results have been impressive. Since Gloucestershire Crimestoppers was set up in 1995 we have received more than 11,000 actionable calls about criminals in the region, helped the police make more than 900 arrests and recovered over £650,000 worth of goods and drugs.

Did you know...?

One person was arrested every four days in Gloucestershire thanks to information received by Crimestoppers (2006/07)

With your support we can do even more to fight crime in Gloucestershire. Don't just call 0800 555 111 when you have some information about crime. You can also support our work by becoming a Crimestoppers volunteer, playing your part in raising the profile of our all-important anonymous phone number.

We are currently looking for volunteers who have a few hours to spare during the day, at weekends or during the evening, who would be willing to help spread the Crimestoppers message through delivering leaflets, setting up and staffing displays. We also need volunteer directors to help us plan future marketing and fundraising campaigns. If you're interested in volunteering for Gloucestershire Crimestoppers please fill out our Volunteer Enquiry Form.
