Crimestoppers cook up a grand idea
Crimestoppers' fundraising team has launched a 'Gingerbread Campaign' to help engage new companies and raise vital funds for the charity in our 20th anniversary year. The concept is simple! We sent gift boxes containing 17 gingerbread men to companies across London – these 17 gingerbread men represented the 17 people that are arrested every day as a result of calls to Crimestoppers.
Inside the box the gingerbread men, kindly donated by The Cake Store, were iced to resemble criminals and inter-layered with statistics highlighting some of Crimestoppers' most impressive results. For example, last year, information given anonymously to us on 0800 555 111 resulted in over £4.4million worth of stolen goods and over £7million pounds worth of drugs being seized from our communities.
The campaign targets companies and highlights the positive effects that a partnership with Crimestoppers can have, not only to the safety of staff and communities they operate in, but in most cases also to the bottom line. Business in the UK lose £19billion a year through theft and crime - truly highlighting why a partnership with Crimestoppers can make a real difference.
